The DGS-1024D Switch is compatible with IEEE 802.3 10BASE-T, 802.3u 100BASE-TX, 802.3ab 1000BASE-T and 803.3x flow control. This switch is equipped to auto-negotiate speeds at 10Mbps, 100Mbps and 1000Mbps.

Flow control

The DGS-1024D Switch, in Full-Duplex mode, protects users from potential data loss during network transmission. When connected to a LAN card (on a server or PC) that supports flow control, and when the data buffer is about to fill, the switch sends a signal to the PC indicating such a situation. Then the PC delays the transmission until the buffer has been released and more information can be sent.
